As usual this post is not regarding responsibilities you carry on your shoulders. It’s about the exercise regimen meant for strengthening of shoulders with weights. Shoulders are the largest joint complex of present in our upper limbs and are generally responsible for a major chunk of weight bearing activities done. Weak shoulders are not capable of doing things properly and moreover an early fatigue also set in. Strengthening of shoulders can be started in any age and is almost always beneficial to lead a better life routine. Elderly people are also encouraged to carry such exercises for keeping their upper limb anchors in good shape.

You can start with as light weight as 1/2 kg and raise it as the time passes. Weights in the form of weight cuffs, dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells or weight balls can be used. Resistance bands are also a great tool to perform these exercises.
